Whether it’s buying a scion [car (virtual)] or running for senator, it’s pretty much all on whyville.net. There is also a population of over 3 million citizens on whyville! Whyville is a great site where kids and teens from all over the world can play educational games and chat in various places. Some of the main places they can chat or play games are at the beaches (beach south, beach north, beach cove, beach grotto, and beach waterfall), climate center, simon says, the woods, sportsplatz, playground, pool party, or getty museum. Whyvillians (citizens on whyville) can also play games to raise their salary so that they can get clams (whyville’s money) each day. The higher their salary, the more extra opportunities/perks they get like becoming a ymail helper or making higher prices in their shop where they can make face parts (clothes or facial items). A ymail helper is a helper in the newbie center (in the destination bus on whyville) who helps newcomers on whyville. I, maggie366, am also a ymail helper. Newcomers can ask their questions frequently and ring a bell if their is no ymail helper available. Whyvillians can also earn clams and make a business by opening a shop in the “face mall” (mall). To make items for the mall, they either need a ffv (face factory voucher) or a whypass. A whypass is something you can buy with money using check or paypal (REAL money) that earns you perks like sitting on the grass in the greek theater, making products in the face mall, having extra places to meet in the friend finder (a helpful tool used on whyville to help whyvillians meet with each other or see whether or not they’re online). But if you (example) can’t get a whypass, don’t worry because you can still buy a ffv with clams. They can also (as I said before) buy a virtual car with clams. Whyvillians can take their friends for a ride or simply just invite random people to chat. They can also send mail (ymail) to their friends and write articles for the newspaper. Whyvillians can run for senator by buying a platform for 500 clams too. There are so many other things to do on whyville (other than these) so feel free to check it out.
